Trudy Borenstein-Sugiura Interested in stories hidden beneath the surface, Borenstein-Sugiura partnered with Princeton Battlefield State Park and Clarke House State Historic Site to create new work inspired by the American Revolution and its local impact. --- Amaris Brown Brown collaborated with East Jersey Old Town Village, creating work that visualizes Native American influence on contemporary America and the cultural heritage of the Raritan Valley's colonial communities. --- Ilene Dube Working in fiber, Dube conducted research in the New Jersey State Museum's textile holdings to create work exploring the cultural history of the flag across different cultures and traditions. --- Debbie Gibbs Gibbs delved into the history of Morven Museum & Garden, developing work through her signature grid technique to explore the layered histories of the site and those who lived there across 250 years. --- Aman Gupta Gupta received a piece of the historic Mercer Oak—a 300-year-old white oak from Princeton Battlefield State Park—from the Princeton Battlefield Society to create sculptural artwork honoring the site's significance. --- Maria G Pisano Pisano explores the plants and gardens at William Trent House Museum, translating botanical and horticultural research into beautifully designed books that document the site's living heritage. --- William Plank Plank partnered with Howell Living History Farm to honor those who fought in the Revolution and document the toll of war on men and women during that era. --- Faith Saunders Saunders drew from the rich history of the Stoutsburg Sourland African American Museum to create work inspired by the connections of the African diaspora to native and adopted landscapes. --- Linda Vonderschmidt-LaStella Vonderschmidt-LaStella partnered with a regional historical site to create new work in response to local history and cultural narratives. --- Barbara Wallace Wallace engaged with a regional historical organization to develop artwork exploring New Jersey's role in the nation's founding and cultural heritage. --- Laura Warne Warne created new work through research at a partner historical site, contributing to the exhibition's exploration of regional history and contemporary cultural relevance.
